Halfen's Frimeda Rapid Lift System is now available in hot-dipped galvanised steel to ensure even greater corrosion resistance.
Halfen's Frimeda Rapid Lift System, TPA, part of a system used for the lifting and transportation of precast concrete units, is now available in hot-dipped galvanised steel to ensure even greater corrosion resistance.
Unlike threaded lifting systems which cannot be hot-dip galvanised because of the risk of thread blockage, the entire range of TPA anchors, which are cast into concrete for the subsequent attachment of ring clutches, can be given this extra treatment for corrosion prevention.
This protects the anchor during the storage of precast units exposed to the elements, helping to prevent corrosion of the anchor and possible staining of the unit.
It also helps prevent corrosion over the lifetime of the building.
The introduction of galvanised TPA anchors is in response to an increasing demand from the precast industry for improved corrosion resistance of lifting devices.
Hot dip galvanising the anchors achieves this simply and at a minimal cost.
